Services for Helen B. Dobbs, 84, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., who died at Holy Cross Hospital at Ft. Lauderdale on January 22, 1990, were held Sat., Jan. 27, at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Winterset with the Rev. Frank Palmer officiating. Burial was at the Winterset cemetery.

Born in Naugatuck, Conn., on February 12, 1905, she was the daughter of Thomas and Mary Purcell Burns. She was married to Harry Dobbs and was a teacher and a homemaker.

Survivors include nephews, David Hoyt of California, John B. Sawyer of Valpariso, Ind., Robert W. Sawyer of Winterset, and Steven J. Sawyer of Milford, Conn.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and two sisters.
