JOSIE McDONALD WALKER

Josie Graham McDonald, youngest daughter of Wm. and Mary McDonald was born Nov. 6, 1866 and departed this life March 28, 1916.

She united with the U.P. church of North Branch in early life and was married to Seth T. Walker, March 5, 1890. To this union were born five children: Raymond, Everett, Augusta Grace, Leota Gladys, James Russell and Mary Lucy, all of whom with the husband, survive her. A brother, W. C. McDonald of Winterset and two sisters, Mrs. Susanna M. McBride of Des Moines and Mrs. Rebecca A. McLees of Lisbon, N.D. of a large family of brothers and sisters are still living.

Though not strong or robust physically, she spent her life of almost fifty years in an earnest, unassuming manner, fraught with a purpose to do the right as she saw it. Always faithful as a daughter, sister, wife and mother. "The Lord gave and the Lord hath taken away, blessed be His Holy name."

Funeral services were held at Jefferson U.P. church Thursday morning, Rev. W. J. Stewart of Winterset conducting and burial was made at Jefferson cemetery.
