William Rogers, who lived in the southwest part of town, died at about midnight Wednesday night.

The funeral was held at the home yesterday. He was a man of about 50 years of age, and had lived in this place for the greater part of his life.

Died.—William Rogers, Wednesday evening, Dec. 9th. He has been a resident of Madison county since 1862 and for a long time a citizen of Winterset. The funeral was held Thursday.

Wm. Rogers, residing in the southwest part of town, died Wednesday evening. He had been sick for several months.

He was an old resident of the county coming here from Clark county in 1862. He was a man of retiring disposition, a hard worker and ab honest man as ever lived.

The funeral occurred yesterday.
