Tuesday, June 4, 1996Berneal L. Anderson Edmiston, 72, of Davenport, who was born in Madison County, died Thursday in Lake Jackson, Texas, of injuries suffered in an auto accident.
Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at Runge Mortuary in Davenport.

Services for Berneal L. Edmiston, 72, Davenport, are 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Runge Mortuary, Davenport. Burial is in Pine Hill Cemetery, Davenport. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today. Memorials may be made to Eastern Iowa Chapter of POWs, to which she belonged. Mrs. Edmiston died Thursday, May 30, 1996, in Lake Jackson, Texas.
The former Berneal L. Armstrong was born Sept. 5, 1923, in Madison County, Iowa, the daughter of John and Gladys Keesey Armstrong. She married Grover A. Edmiston Aug. 17, 1945, in St. Louis.
She was employed in the Davenport office of the Iowa Department of Social Services. She served in the Navy WAVES during World War II.
Survivors include the widower; daughters Vicki Sullivan, Moline, and Nancy Willers, Lake Jackson; a son, Grover A. Edmiston Jr., Houston; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; sisters Phyllis Beaman, Taylor, Wis., Eileen Dershem, Overland Park, Kan., and Viola Marsh, Mercer, Mo.; and brothers Eugene Armstrong, Booneville, Iowa, and John Armstrong, Van Meter, Iowa..
