RANDY SCHOWENGERDT, West Des Moines

Randy Lee Schowengerdt, age 44, passed away at Kavanagh Hospice House in West Des Moines on Tuesday, April 29, 2008. Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, May 9, at Valley Evangelical Free Church, 4343 Fuller Road, West Des Moines, Iowa. Interment of his ashes will be later in St. Charles Cemetery, St. Charles, Iowa.

Randy was born Dec. 13, 1963, to Judy (Butler) and Karl Schowengerdt in Omaha, Neb. He graduated from Emmetsburg High School in 1982, followed by Iowa State University and AIB Business College. He worked in telecommunications in Omaha until his early retirement due to illness. He was a member of the Valley Evangelical Free Church of West Des Moines.

Randy is survived by his parents, Karl and Judy, of West Des Moines; his sister, Kelly McKinney, her husband, Tim, their sons, Nathan, Andrew, and Evan, all of St. Charles, Iowa; and his brother, Cory Schowengerdt, his wife, Jackie, and their daughter, Loren, all of Fayetteville, N.C. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

Memorials may be made in his memory to Hospice of Central Iowa, 401 Railroad Place, West Des Moines, Iowa 50265
