EARTH TO EARTH AGAIN - The Death Angel Continues His Conquest.

Benjamin Childers, one of the pioneer settlers of Madison county, died last Sunday night at the home of James Murray, near Buffalo Mills, after a lingering and painful illness, and was buried in the Winterset cemetery Tuesday. The funeral services were held at the house under the supervision of Rev. Majors.

The deceased was born in North Carolina, November 3d, 1812. In 1852 he moved to Madison county and ever since has been living in and near Winterset. He was the father of ten children, nine of whom are still living. Thus the old settlers pass away one by one.
