Mrs. Jones, an aged lady and one of Madison county’s first settlers, died, at the home of her son, J. L. Jones, in Jefferson township, the 8th. Her son Thomas, of Nebraska, took care of her in her late illness.

Note: Burial was made in the Jefferson-Goar cemetery.
