Page 1On January 7th, at 2 a.m., death’s silent messenger visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Taylor, and took from their home their little daughter, Mabel, at the age of five years. How sad it is when we worship one as Mabel was worshiped that death should come so soon and claim her as its own, but as this veil of darkness is hovering over us, a ray of sunshine comes shining through, which we call hope, that looks forward with ardent joy when these mysteries are all wiped away, and we see our loved ones as they are. That smiling face, those golden ringlets we will never see here on earth again, and those little dresses and play things will bring sad reminiscences of the little one we loved, but let us think she is safe in the arms of the one who said “Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not for of such is the kingdom of heaven.”
