A resident of Madison Manor North Nursing Home in Winterset, Earl L. Boyce, died Friday, April 16, 1976, at the age of 51 years. He was born August 5, 1924 in Des Moines.
The son of Joseph and Flossie Poindexter, Earl Boyce lived in Madison County about 12 years, having moved to California in 1936. He was married to Ruth Scholten in California.
A veteran of the Second World War, Earl Boyce was affiliated with the United Presbyterian Church and had been employed as a hair stylist.
Survivors include his mother, Flossie Boyce of Winterset, two daughters, Janet Kollewehr of Grand Haven, Michigan, and Cindy Yonker of Fremont, Michigan, and a son Richard Boyce of Ann Arbor, Michigan.
Also surviving are a brother, Walter Boyce of Maracalbo, Venezuela, and a sister, Mary Lou Agan of Huntsville, Texas.
Funeral services were conducted Monday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. from Collins Funeral Home in Winterset, the Rev. Alan Parker presiding. Crematory services were performed.
