HOYT O. BAKER

Hoyt O. Baker was born in Winterset, Iowa, March 14, 1886 and died in Council Bluffs, Oct 16, 1917, his age being 31 years, 7 months and 2 days.

His early days were spent in Winterset, where he lived until six years old and since leaving here his home has been in Council Bluffs. He had been in his usual health until the time of his death, which came suddenly while on an errand uptown.

He leaves to mourn his departure, a father, J. L. Baker, of Maryville, Mo.; a brother, J. L. Baker, Jr., of Des Moines, and a sister, Mrs. Mildred Cord of Wall Lake, Iowa, and other relatives and friends.

The body was brought to Winterset Thursday morning and taken to the home of Mrs. John Oldham, an aunt, where funeral services were conducted at 3:30 p.m. by Rev. Jackson Giddens, pastor of the Methodist church, after which the mortal remains were laid to rest in Winterset cemetery.

Those present from out of town were: J. L. Baker and wife, of Maryville, Mo.; J. L. Baker Jr., Des Moines; Mrs. Mildred Cord, Wall Lake.
