MRS. GEORGE THOMPSON

Maggie Bell Foster, daughter of William Foster, was born at Saint Charles on Aug. 13, 1881 and passed away at her home in Winterset on Dec. 5, 1921, having reached the age of 40 years, 3 months and 22 days.

Having been left an orphan when but two months old, she was cared for during childhood by her sister, Mrs. Hurst. On Nov. 12, 1900 she was united in marriage to George Thompson, and to this union three children were born. Two children, Floyd and Clyde, survive.

While yet in childhood she united with the Church of Christ at St. Charles, and ever tried to conduct herself as a true Christian woman. She was a devoted wife, an affectionate and kind mother, a sympathetic friend and a good neighbor.

She leaves to hold her in cherished memory the companion, the two boys, four brothers and a goodly circle of kindhearted and well wishing friends.

The funeral was conducted from the Church of Christ at Winterset on Tuesday afternoon, by the minister of that congregation. Music was furnished by a mixed quartet. Burial was made in the St. Charles cemetery.
