JACOB A. RYNER

Jacob A. Ryner was born near Danville, Putman county, Ind., Dec. 29, 1850, and departed this life on June 18, 1921, therefore having attained the age of 70 years, 5 months and 21 days.

When 14 years of age, he moved with his parents to Iowa, making the long trip with a team, and settled on a farm near Winterset. Here he continued to live until about two years ago, when he moved to an adjoining farm with his son, William. In February, 1877, he was married to Lizzie Henderson and to this union three children were born: Clifford D., who died in February 1919; William A., with whom the father lived during the past two years; and Mrs. Clyde Lull, who lives on a nearby farm

Besides his own family, he reared from childhood, two children of his brother, Mrs. Bertha Benson and Ernest Ryner both of Idaho Falls, Idaho.

In early life Mr. Ryner united with the Baptist church and continuously lived a good life. He was kind in his dealings and ever thoughtful in regard to the welfare of others. He was much devoted to his family and looked well to the ways of his household.

His last illness lasted only two days. He leaves to hold him in fond and cherished memory the two children, nine grandchildren, other relatives and a wide circle of friends.

The funeral services were held from the Wm. Ryner home on Monday afternoon, and burial was made in the Jefferson cemetery - (see note below)

Note: Burial was made in the North McDonald cemetery.
