EMERY SCHNOOR, PINE RIVER, MINNESOTA

Emery Schnoor, 81, of Pine River, Minn., and formerly of St. Charles, passed away Friday, Feb. 15, 2008, at St. Joseph’s Medical Center in Brainerd, Minn. He was born March 16, 1926, in Woodward, Iowa, to Henry and Ruth Schnoor. Emery was a veteran of the United States Army, serving during World War II.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna; children: Romaine Schnoor, Randy Schnoor (Kim), Mark Schnoor, Warren Schnoor (Jenny), Donna McCoy (Charles), LaVonne Whittemore (Gilbert), Tim Schnoor, Hubert Schnoor (Susan), Kristy Warner (David), Westley Schnoor (Jennifer), Essie Neumann (Bruce), and Hans Schnoor; sisters: Erma, Elnora, Irene, Darlene, Lavern, and June; brothers: Milo and Paul; and 24 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Emily Christine Schnoor; a brother, Harold; one grandson; and one great-granddaughter.

Services were held at 1 p.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 20) at Kline Funeral Home, Pequot Lakes, Minn. Visitation was held Tuesday, Feb. 19, at the funeral home. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at Sayre Cemetery, St. Charles, Iowa. Arrangements were handled by Kline Funeral Home and Kale Funeral Home of Truro.
