GERRALDINE DICKINSON, WINTERSET

Gerraldine Dickinson, 87, of Winterset passed away on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2008, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 23, 2008, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Visitation will be from 1–8 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, at the funeral home, where the family will be present to receive friends from 6–8 p.m. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Madison County Health Care System in Winterset.

Gerraldine was born Sept. 29, 1920, in Texas, the daughter of Elvin and Gladys Morgan. She graduated from Post High School in Texas and went on to marry Harold Dickinson in 1945. Together, they lived near St. Charles since 1948. Gerraldine was a homemaker and also worked for Look Magazine as a file clerk for many years. She attended the Elm Grove Methodist Church and in later years volunteered at Country Haven. She loved flowers and gardening and loved doing needlework. She enjoyed making her grandkids sweaters, mittens and booties. She was very devoted to her family and cherished the time she spent with them.

She is survived by her three sons, Elvin Dickinson (Vicki) of Prole, Richard Dickinson (Kathy) of St. Charles, and Billy Dickinson (Karen) of Nacogdoches, Texas; a sister, Dorrace Lowry (J.R.) of Clinton, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Gerraldine was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; and three sisters.
