Mary Frances Belding, 57, of Pratt, Kan., died Feb. 8, 2008, at her home.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Feb. 14, at Beidelman-Twigg Funeral Home in Panora with Pastor Cathy Van Gundy officiating. Burial was at West Linn Cemetery in Linden.
Mary Frances Belding was born March 18, 1950, in Redfield to Elias and Marjorie (Miller) Gomes and was a 1968 graduate of Earlham High School. Mary also received an associate’s degree in culinary arts from Des Moines Area Community College. Her marriage to Lloyd Belding took place March 29, 2001, in Pratt, Kan. Mary was employed at Wal-Mart.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Gomez.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd, of Pratt, Kan.; two sons, Stephen Rehbein of Humeston and Lawrence Rehbein of Fairfield; one daughter, Theresa Carrillo of Earlham; two stepsons, Brent Belding of Mt. Vernon and Brad Belding of Cascade; 10 brothers — David Gomez of Shell Rock, Thomas Gomez of Dexter, Robert Gomez of Ottumwa, Rick Gomez of Wellsville, Kan., Larry Gomez of La Feria, Texas, Dennis Gomez of Pauls Valley, Okla., Timothy Gomez of Lorimor, and Patrick Gomez, Bill Gomez and Jack Gomez, all of Earlham; seven sisters — Jean Moll and Cindy Boucher, both of Des Moines, Catherine Callahan and Janet Taylor, both of Earlham, Margaret Tiernan and Barb Boss, both of Stuart, and Joyce Rasmussen of Jefferson; and six grandchildren.

Pratt, KSMary Frances (Gomez) Belding, 57, daughter of Elias and Marjorie (Miller) Gomez, was born March 18, 1950 in Redfield, Iowa. She passed away Friday, February 8, 2008 at her home in Pratt, Kansas.
She graduated from Earlham High School in 1968. She then received an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts from DMACC. On March 29, 2001, she married Lloyd Belding in Pratt, KS. She was employed at Wal-Mart. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, camping, fishing, watching football and the T.V. show "Survivor".
She is survived by her husband Lloyd Belding of Pratt, KS, her children; Stephen (Fiance Cherry) Rehbein of Humeston, IA, Theresa (Martin) Carrillo of Earlham, and Lawrence Rehbein of Fairfield. Step-children, Brent (Susie) Belding of Mt. Vernon and Brad Belding of Cascade. Six grandchildren, 18 brothers and sisters. Mother-in-law Anna Mae Belding of Pratt, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, father-in-law Raymond Belding, one brother, two nephews and one nephew-in-law.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2008, at Beidelman-Twigg Funeral Home, Panora. Burial will be in the West Linn Cemetery, rural Linden. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 13, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial may be left to the discretion of the family.
