MARY MCCONNELEE, WINTERSET

Mary McConnelee, 66, of Winterset died Feb. 7, 2008, at her home.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 12, at Collins Oak Park Chapel in Winterset with Pastor Lee Hirt officiating. Burial was at Winterset Cemetery. Memorials will be directed to the family for future designation.

Mary McConnelee was born Sept. 17, 1941, in Coon Rapids to Cammy and Alta (Brown) Cameron and was a 1959 graduate of Winterset High School. On June 9, 1959, she was united in marriage to Richard John McConnelee. A resident of Winterset since 1949, Mary had been a cashier at Hy-Vee and also worked for the Winterset Community School District for many years. She was a member of the Winterset Jaycettes, Eastern Star, 4-H and the First Christian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother, Elmer Charles Cameron; and a sister, Esther Lucille Cameron.

She is survived by two sons, Mark McConnelee of Las Vegas, Nev., and Dan McConnelee of Winterset; a sister, Alice Brown of Creston; and five grandchildren.
