For a short time he practiced medicine at the village of Webster in the west part of the county. The remains were brought here and the funeral service held from the home of his niece, Mrs. D. T. Miles on Friday afternoon. Rev. J. H. White assisted by Rev. McCaughan conducted the services and all that was mortal was tenderly laid to rest by his fellow comrades, five of whom were members of his regiment and four of his company in the War of the Rebellion.
