March 1, 1899

East Peru - On Feb. 12th, George Weaver, son of Tom Weaver of this place, died. He had been afflicted all his life. Funeral services at the M. E. church on the 13th, conducted by the pastor.

Geo. Weaver was buried Tuesday. His death was sudden. Geo. was a great favorite, we will miss him in town.

Note: Burial in the Peru Cemetery.
