Funeral services were held Saturday from the Collins Funeral home in Winterset for Duncan E. Henderson, former resident of Madison county whose death had occurred Jan. 18 at the home of his son, Orval Henderson, near Rudd. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Mr. Henderson was 76 years of age at his death. He was a native of Missouri, where he was born Jan. 17, 1895, a son of Emmett and Lucinda Duncan Henderson. He was married to Edna Smith in 1923 and they lived in Dumont before moving to Green Brier, Ark, in 1957.

He returned to Iowa three weeks ago and spent a week in the Floyd County hospital in Charles City before returning to the home of his son.

Survivors included his wife, six sons, Russell Henderson, Osage; Emmett, Hampton; Harold, Decorah; Glenn, Des Moines; Orval, Rudd; and Loren of Allison; two brothers, Cecil Henderson, Salina, Kansas and Hugh Henderson, Bowling Green, Mo.; two sisters, Bertha Brandstader of Bowling Green, Mo. and Lita Harron of Hamilton, Missouri and 22 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two sons and one daughter.
