Obituary

Augusta Maria, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Pulis was born June 24, 1838 near Rochester, N. Y., and died at the home of her son Frank, near Winterset, July 13, 1909. In 1847 she moved to Walworth county, Wisconsin with her parents. She was united in marriage to Edward Gleason, Nov. 2nd, 1856 to Geneva, Wis. In 1855 they moved to Buchanan county, Iowa, although they have lived in several states, most of their married life was spent in Buchanan and Fayette counties, Iowa. Four years ago she moved to Madison county where she and her husband have lived with their son Frank Gleason. She was the second in a family of eight children, four sisters and one brother, who with her husband and son are left to mourn her loss. Funeral services were held by Rev. J. E. Clearwater, Wednesday morning at the home at 9:30 o'clock and interment was made in the Winterset cemetery.

Death of Mrs. Agusta Gleason

Mrs. Agusta Gleason, an old and respected citizen of Webster township, died Tuesday at the home of her son, Frank Gleason, aged 71 years. The funeral occurred Wednesday, conducted by Rev. Clearwater, and interment was made in the Rock City cemetery.

Middle River

Grandma Gleason died Monday night. She was living with her son Frank Gleason, who lives a mile and a half east of Middle River. She leaves an aged husband and son Frank to mourn her loss. They have our deepest sympathy. She was laid to rest in the cemetery at Winterset.
