Death of Oscar Foster

Oscar Foster died at the home of his mother in this city Tuesday evening after a long illness from tuberculosis. Mr. Foster was an unmarried man thirty-six years of age. He was a native of Madison county and a man greatly respected by all who knew him. To be cut off in the prime of life is one of the sad and unaccountable things with which we are confronted almost daily, and the aged mother has the heartfelt sympathy of the community in her bereavement. The remains were taken to Peru Thursday for interment.

Deceased, the son of George and Sarah Foster, was born Dec. 11th, 1870, in Madison county. He leaves a mother, brother and a host of friends to mourn his loss. During his long illness there was nothing that a mother could do that was left undone.
