"Hub" Cochran Death at 65

Wesley Lee Cochran, the son of Forrest Lee and Mate Terry Cochran, died Wednesday, March 2, 1977 at Veterans Hospital in Des Moines. He was born August 12, 1911 on a farm near Macksburg.

Known by his friends as "Hub" Mr. Cochran was united in marriage to Marie Jensen in 1942. The couple had five children.

Mr. Cochran was a naval veteran of World War II. He had lived in the Lorimor community for several years and was a retired farmer.

Survivors include his wife, Marie of Macksburg; a daughter, Mary Ann Kuder of Des Moines; three sons, Carl of Minden, Robert of Des Moines and Willis of Redstone Arsenal, Alabama; a sister, Dorothy Smid of Creston; and three grandchildren.

Mr. Cochran was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Pauline Ross and Elizabeth Cochran and a son, Wesley Wallace Cochran.

Funeral services for Wesley Cochran were conducted Friday March 4 at 1:30 p.m. at Macksburg Church. Rev. John Ackerman and Rev. Grant Bates of Des Moines presiding. Burial was made at the Moon cemetery.
