Mt. Pleasant

Mr. Thomas Brazell who has been sick for the past two months, died on the 15th and was buried today the 17th at the catholic burying grounds at the St. Patrick church. The deceased was about 24 years old, was studying medicine at St. Louis, when he took sick. He was a promising young man of sterling qualities and was respected by all who knew him. He was followed to his last resting place by a large concourse of sorrowing friends.

Note: Burial was made in St. Patrick’s cemetery. Transcribed as published, last name per gravestone is "Brazill".
