Mr. O. A. Moser, a former well-known and highly respected citizen of this county, died at Mankato, Kansas, May 5th. The Mankato Monitor gives the following sketch of his life: He was born in Northampton Co., Pa., July 27, 1824. After living in the states of Ohio and Iowa, he came to Kansas in the spring of 1881, and settled in Rush county, and for the last few years has been making his home with his daughter at Emporia and his son in this city. He enlisted in the 19th Iowa infantry, September, 1861; was wounded at the siege of Vicksburg, from which he never fully recovered; was discharged March 7, 1864. He had been a member of the church for 50 years. Comrade Moser was buried by the G.A.R. and Masons.
