Word came from Omaha last Tuesday that Ed. R. Guiberson, son of Deputy Marshal S. S. Guiberson, had committed suicide. Particulars could not be obtained, and Mr. Guiberson left for Omaha the next morning. It has since been learned that Ed. Shot himself through the head at about 7 o’clock in the morning and died two hours later. The deed was evidently premeditated, for he had left a note to the coroner asking that all his belongings, except a ring which was on his finger, be sent to his mother at Winterset. Ed. Was about 29 years old, and had lived near Winterset the greater part of his life. He was employed about the county farm for some time while his father was steward, and a few years ago went to Omaha, where he has since been a liveryman. His parents have the sympathy of the whole community.
