Jacob Trester, who was formerly well known in Winterset, died at his home in Des Moines last Wednesday morning. He had been sick only since the previous Saturday. The Des Moines papers differ as to the cause of his death, one of them ascribing to pneumonia and the other to heart disease.

He formerly lived north of Winterset, and later in Warren county before moving to Des Moines. He was a Mason, belonging t Evening Star lodge of this place, and some of the members will probably attend the funeral, which takes place at the home in Des Moines at 2 p.m. this afternoon.
