Corgie Marie Courtney, 89, of Lorimor died Jan. 10, 2008, at Madison County Memorial Hospital in Winterset.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 14, at Ochiltree Funeral Service & Aftercare in Winterset. Burial was at Lorimor Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Winterset Care Center South Activity Fund. Online condolences may be sent to the family at ochiltree.com.

Corgie Courtney was born Nov. 22, 1918, in Madison County to Finly Carson and Carrie (Maunders) Addy. Her marriage to Walter Courtney took place Sept. 18, 1942, in Grant City, Mo. Corgie was a homemaker most of her life. She also worked for a time at Look Magazine in Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters, Flossy Pritchard and Beatrice Addy; a brother, Dwight Addy; and a grandson, Wade Allen Hiatt.

She is survived by one daughter, Suzanne Hiatt of Lorimor; one son, Donn Courtney of Lorimor; and three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
