Last Rites Held For Mrs. Grover Nelson

Funeral services were held on last Wednesday January 17th, for Mrs. Grover Nelson. Following devotionals at the Funeral home, the services were conducted at the Roswell Methodist church with Rev. Thomas of Huron and Rev. H. W. Minish of Howard in charge.

Burial was made in Graceland cemetery in Howard, under the direction of the Tuttle Funeral Service.

Obituary

Florence Maude Linn was born in Madison county, Iowa, Dec. 7, 1884. She was married on Dec. 25, 1906 to Grover Nelson of Dexter, Ia. They made their home their until 1911 when they come to Dakota to make their home near Argonne, S. D.

To this union were born three children, Wanda, who preceded her mother in death, Wayne, at home and Claude in the U. S. Army in England.

She was an active member of the Methodist church and church activities.

She had been ailing for several years and was taken to the Mitchell hospital Oct. 13, where she was a patient until her death on January 13, 1945 at the age of 60 years, 1 month and 6 days.

Besides a host of friends she leaves to mourn her passing, her husband and Claude, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Nelson and one grandchild, Melvin. Four sisters, Mrs. M. E. Cline, Dexter, Ia.; Mrs. H. S. Heichel, Dexter, Ia.; Mrs. Ernest Lowden, Truro, Ia.; and Mrs. John Foust, Winterset, Ia.; and one brother Wight Linn of Stuart, Ia., also survive.
