Wm. Hockenberry Was Buried Sunday Afternoon

William McElvy Hockenberry, son (__missing__) was held Sunday afternoon at two o'clock at the Presbyterian church. Burial was in the Earlham cemetery.

Mr. Hockenberry died at his home here last Thursday afternoon after a prolonged illness.

OBITUARY

William McElvy Hockenberry, son of McElvy and Anne Hockenberry was born May 23, 1871 and departed this life August 31, 1939 after a lingering illness.

He was united in marriage to Myrtle May Duff on March 30, 1898 and to this union were born one son and one daughter.

He leaves to mourn his loss his devoted wife, his daughter, Mrs. A. E. Edwards of Charlottesville, Virginia, his son Robert M. Hockenberry of Omaha, Nebraska, two brothers, James of Winterset and Frank of Doniphan, Nebraska, two sisters, Mrs. T. G. Oakland of Great Falls, Montana and Mrs. A. J. Speer of Washington as well as numberous nieces and nephews and a number of friends.
