Glen W. Hess Died Thursday

Funeral services were held last Saturday, May 11 for Glen W. Hess of Winterset, who died at Madison County Memorial Hospital on Thursday, May 9, at the age of 73.

Glen William Hess was born at Shawnee, Oklahoma on January 3, 1901, the son of W. B. and Jennie Timmons Hess. He was married to Laura Smith at Winterset on July 20, 1929.

Mr. Hess was a resident of Madison county for most of his life. He was a retired farmer.

He was affiliated with the Seventh Adventist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Laura of Winterset and by one daughter, Mrs. Sharon Wood of Wichita, Kansas. Also surviving are two granddaughters and one brother, Dale Hess of San Diego, California.

Mr. Hess was preceded in death by his parents and by one brother.

Funeral services were (words missing) Saturday, May 11 at the Collins Funeral Home in Winterset with Pastor Don Baker of Des Moines officiating. Burial was made in the Clark cemetery.
