Otilla Marie Duff

Funeral services were held on Monday at the Anderson funeral home for Otilla Marie Duff, 76, who died at her home last Thursday, December 20.

Rev. Leo Horner of the Valley Christian church officiated and interment followed at Mountain View cemetery.

Mrs. Duff who was born April 21, 1878, in Iowa, was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Bast and had made her home in Hood River for the past 20 years.

She is survived by four sons, Orland of Hood River, Errol of Portland, Ray of Story City, Iowa, and Lyman of Los Angeles. Mrs. Duff was a member of the Rebekah lodge and the Valley Christian church.

The passing of Mrs. Tilla Duff Thursday brought a tear to many friends. On Tuesday Mrs. Duff had attended the Christmas party of the Current Event club at the Dan Ruff home and even though she wasn't well had tried to be her gay old self and everyone was so pleased to have her with the group again.

Coming to be with the R. O. Duff family in this hour of sadness were Mr. and Mrs. Errol Duff of Portland and Lyman Duff of Los Angeles. Other present are Mr. and Mrs. Ben Hersey, a niece, and their daughter, Janice of Salem; Mr. and Mrs. Buck Hoppe and family of John Day; Mr. and Mrs. Bill Van Orsow; a granddaughter of Portland.

The neighborhood was saddened when they heard Mr. C. M. Duff had died Thursday morning December 20. Services were held Monday.

Sympathy is extended to Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Duff and family.
