MILDRED YOUNG DEETS

Services for Mildred Young Deets, 82, of 4216 Adams Ave. will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Collins Funeral Home in Winterset. Burial will be in the Winterset Cemetery. Mrs. Deets died of pneumonia Friday at Iowa Lutheran Hospital.

Born in Winterset, Mrs. Deets moved to Des Moines from Earlham in 1952. She had been owner of Deets Home Furnishings in Martensdale, and was a member of Order of Eastern, Rebekah Lodge and National Order of Women's Relief Corps Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband, Worth; two son, William of Perry and W. Richard of Orange City; a sister, Irene Wicks of Iowa City; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m.

Mildred Y. Deets, Des Moines

Services for Mildred Y. Deets, 82, Des Moines, who died May 11 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital were held Tues., May 15, at the Collins Funeral Home with the Rev. Neil Montz officiating. Burial was at the Winterset cemetery.

Born in Winterset on October 16, 1907, she was the daughter of Myles and Clydonna Wight. She was the owner of Deets Home Furnishings in Martensdale.

On June 9, 1925, she was married to Worth Deets at the Fort Des Moines Hotel.

Mrs. Deets lived in Des Moines since 1952 and before that lived in Earlham. She was a member of the Immanuel Methodist Church in Des Moines, the Order of the Eastern Star Hawkeye Chapter, the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem, the Rebekah Lodge, and the National Order of Women's Relief Corps Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband of Des Moines; sons, William of Perry and W. Richard of Orange City; a sister, Irene Wicks of Iowa City; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters.
