Mrs. Eli Woolery

Hannah Jane Lee was born in Clinton county, Indiana, March 1, 1847 and passed away at her home in Dexter, Iowa on April 17, 1928, at the age of 81 years. She came to Iowa with her parents in the year 1865 and located in Madison county. In August 1867, she was united in marriage to Wm. Brown. To this union three children were born, J. E. Brown of Kansas City; Mrs. S. M. O'Neill of Council Bluffs and Ida J. who died in infancy. Mr. Brown died April 28, 1883.

Mrs. Brown became the wife of Eli Woolery in 1894 and resided in Earlham, where Mr. Woolery departed this life in 1903. Since that time Mrs. Woolery has lived in Stuart and later in Dexter. She became a member of the Christian church early in life. Surviving are the son, J. E. Brown of Kansas City; one daughter, Mrs. S. M. O'Neill of Council Bluffs and one sister Mrs. Mary Hubbard of Guthrie Center; a number of nieces and nephews and a host of friends to mourn her loss.
