INJURY FATAL TO MRS. ISAAC HOCH

Aged DeSoto Woman Lived to Observe Seventy-First Wedding Day

DeSoto-(Special)-Mrs. Isaac Hoch, aged 91, one of DeSoto's oldest women residents, lived to celebrate with her husband, their seventy-first wedding anniversary on Saturday July 30, but last Wednesday, just four days later, she was dead.

Mrs. Hoch who was the wife of one of the few surviving Civil war veterans in Dallas county died at her home here after weeks of suffering with a broken hip, sustained in a fall.

She was the former Dorcas Murray, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Nicholas Murray, and was born in Ohio, 91 years ago last May. In young womanhood she came with her parents to Iowa, the family locating at Winterset. There she met and was married to Isaac Hoch. In 1869 they moved to De Soto which had since been their home.

In addition to her aged husband, Mrs. Hoch leaves three children, Mrs. Kate Blinn of Pasadena, Cal., Mrs. F. M. Kile of Des Moines and Frank Hoch of Adel.

Funeral services were held at the home of the deceased in De Soto last Friday
