Jeff Seevers, of this city, died at the asylum at Clarinda, Wednesday. The body will reach Winterset today and the funeral will occur this afternoon.
Mr. Seevers had been a resident of Winterset many years and his death will cause sorrow to a large circle of acquaintances. He was taken to the asylum only a few months ago and it was hoped that he would recover but he never regained his reason after going there.
He was a bright man in his younger days and at one time was one of the prominent politicians in the county.
