Death of John Brayman

John Brayman, who has been a resident of Madison county for the past twenty years, died at his home in Jefferson township, Sunday, September 2 at the age of 72 years. Mr. Brayman, who was a son of Loren and Mary Brayman, was born in Ashtabula county, Ohio in November 1855. He was the eldest of nine children, five sisters and two brothers survive him, one sister having passed away seven years ago.

The deceased was married March 2, 1897 to Emma Jane Davis. They had five children, Mrs. Mary Brittain, Mrs. Myrtle Huss, Charles Oscar who died in infancy and Floyd and Bessie in the home. He came to Iowa when a young man and located in Dallas county. They lived near Van Meter and Booneville until twenty years ago when they moved to Jefferson township where he resided until his death.

Funeral services were held from the home Tuesday September 4th and burial was made in the Booneville cemetery.
