Funeral services for Mrs. Maria Elizabeth Harrell were held from home in Winterset Wednesday, following her death Monday, June 3, at Winterset. She was buried in the Winterset cemetery. Her obituary was not available in time for the Madisonian this week, but may be expected next week.

Maria Elizabeth Van Buskirk was born at Tappan, New Jersey, December 18, 1860, and passed away at Winterset, Iowa, June 3, 1935. She came to Madison county, Iowa with her parents at the age of eight years where she grew to womanhood. On January 1, 1884 she was united in marriage to Lewis W. Harrell. Several children came to this home, two preceding her in death.
She was a good wife and mother, always trying to help others. She cared for her aged parents for a number of years, and has faithfully cared for her invalid husband, until she was called home.
She leaves to mourn her going, her husband, five sons, nine grandchildren and a host of friends and neighbors.
Services were conducted by the Rev. H. L. Olmstead from Ramsey-Richards funeral home at 2 o’clock June 5th. Interment in the Winterset cemetery.
