Betty Ann Ford, 9 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. F. J. Ford of Scott township, died at the home of her parents at 5 a. m. Wednesday.
The death followed a brief illness, the child having been stricken last Saturday. She was born May 14, 1926, and spent her brief life in this community. In the immediate family, she leaves her parents and three brothers, Frederick, Henry and Robert Ford.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday from the Ramsey-Richards Funeral home. The Rev. H. L. Olmstead of the Church of Christ will be in charge. Burial will be made in the Winterset cemetery.

Betty Ann, only daughter of Fred and Lenore Ford, was born May 4, 1926, at Winterset and departed this life May 15, 1935, the day following her ninth birthday. When one and one-half years old she, with her parents, moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where they lived for four years. Returning to Winterset she entered kindergarten in the Winterset schools. The past three years she was a pupil of the rural schools of Scott township.
She leaves to mourn her loss, her parents, three brothers, Frederick, Henry and Robert and James Young who loved her as his own.
Betty Ann was a bright, vivacious child, brilliant in her studies, her school work being her greatest delight.
Services were conducted at Ramsey-Richards funeral home at 2 p. m. Friday, May 18th by the Rev. H. L. Olmstead.
