Page 7St. Charles - On Sunday at the M. E. church and in the Clanton cemetery occurred the funeral and burial of one of natures nobleman, a pioneer of Iowa and a man whose industry, perseverance and good management has done much to make this part of Warren and Madison counties to occupy the front track.
Alexander McGinnis, native of Mercer county, Penn. in his 84th year and - more than half a century a resident in Iowa, died at the home of his son, A. L. McGinnis, two miles east of St. Charles, where for more than seven months he had been cared for. His remains are now beside those of his noble wife who proceeded him but a few years. This estimable couple leave a number respectable sons and daughters as the bereaved.
