Edith M. Rogers, a retired school teacher and a resident of Madison county for 64 years died Monday, Aug. 9 at the Peterson Nursing Home here. She was 74 years of age.
Miss Rogers was born at Red Oak on Jan. 9, 1880 a daughter of William and Malinda Cox Rogers. She moved with her family to Madison county in 1890.
Nearest surviving relatives are a brother, Wm. Rogers of near Macksburg, and a sister, Mrs. Myrtle Hindman of Buck Grove. Her parents, three brothers and a sister preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held this Thursday at 2 p.m. from the Richards Funeral home in Winterset conducted by the Rev. Charles Bellus. Burial will be made in the Wight cemetery.
