COOKE NICHOLSON DIED ON TUESDAY

Succumbs at Farm Home West of Winterset at Age of 80 Years

A. Cooke Nicholson, a resident of Madison county the last 13 years, died at his farm home in Webster township, 10 miles west of Winterset on Tuesday, March 2. Death followed a cerebral hemorrhage. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Nicholson was a native of Newburn, N. Y., where he was born April 24, 1867, the son of Thomas and Elizabeth Nicholson. He came to Iowa with his parents when he was a child.

He was married to E. Almyra Pope on April 21, 1934 at Crivitz, Wisc. They came to Madison county 13 years ago.

Nearest surviving relatives are his wife and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held this Friday at 2 p.m. from the Winterset United Presbyterian church of which he was an active member. The services will be conducted by the pastor, the Rev. W. P. Gordon.

Burial will be made in the Wight cemetery.
