Life-Long Citizen of This County Succumbed Last Wednesday
Frank Harrison, life-long resident of Madison county, died at his home in Peru last Wednesday evening Dec. 10th. Mr. Harrison had been in Winterset last Wednesday afternoon and he was apparently in good health. Death, caused by a stroke, came suddenly that evening at his home.
Mr. Harrison, who was 63 years of age, was a son of James and Martha Harrison and was born in Webster township, Dec. 6, 1878. When a young man he joined the Christian church and later joined the Methodist church at Webster. He has been a farmer, a merchant, and for the last several years has followed the carpenter trade.
He was married to Miss Lulu Manetta Pace, Oct. 31, 1905. They were the parents of two children. He leaves his wife, their children, Mrs. William F. Deardorff and Donald Harrison, two granddaughters, Betty and Wilma Deardorff, a sister, Mrs. Nancy Rudolph, all of Peru, and two brothers, C. B. Harrison and T. E. Harrison of Winterset.
Funeral services for Mr. Harrison were held at Anderson's home for funerals, Saturday, Dec. 13th, and were conducted by the Rev. Von B. Elbert, pastor of the Baptist church.
Burial was made in the Wight cemetery.
