December 12, 1935 – page 1STREET CAR ACCIDENT IS FATAL TO CONNOR
James Connor, 53-year old Lee township man, was fatally injured last Saturday when struck by a street car in Des Moines.
Connor was hit by a University street car at Fourteenth and High streets. Witness said he ran across in front of the car. He was knocked to the pavement, suffering a fractured skull. He was taken the (to) Mercy hospital, but died Wednesday.
Funeral services were to be held at 9 a. m. this morning (Thursday) at St. John’s Catholic church. Burial was to be made in St. Patrick’s cemetery.
