Page 1Death of W. G. Leach
Wesley Glen Leach, former resident of near Macksburg, died at Windom, Minnesota, on November 7, at the age of 23 years.
Mr. Leach was the son of Jasper and Fannie Leach, and was born January 28, 1912, at Bushnell, Illinois. At the age of four years, he came with his parents to Iowa, and they settled on a farm near Macksburg, where he grew to manhood. He spent most of his life in that community. The last two years he had lived in Minnesota.
He is survived by his mother, and four sisters and four brothers, Viva McDonald of Afton, Ruth Wambold of Winterset, Edna Williams of Macksburg, Marie Cooper of Jefferson, Mae Leach of Winterset, Henry Leach of Brewster, Minnesota, Frank J. Leach of Earlham, and Edmund Leach of Macksburg. His father died in 1921.
Funeral services were held November 10th at the Methodist church in Macksburg. The Rev. Mr. Summerbell presided. Burial was made in the Macksburg cemetery.
