Daisy Kilgore Services Held

Daisy Jane Kilgore of Winterset, a native of Peru and a resident of Madison County most of her life, died at her home here last Wednesday, July 10. She was 72 years of age.

Mrs. Kilgore was born at Peru on January 11, 1902, the daughter of James F. and Caroline Scholl Weaver. She married Glenn C. Kilgore, who precedes her in death in 1934.

Mrs. Kilgore worked for several years as a telephone operator at Peru and served as a telephone operator in Fairbanks, Alaska for five years.

She was affiliated with the Methodist Church.

She is survived by one brother, James W. Weaver of Winterset. Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Jennie Hull of Peru.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 13 at the Collins Funeral HOme in Winterset, with the Rev. Richard Hempenius presiding. Burial was in the Peru Cemetery.
