MABEL RUTH TRAVIS DIES

Mable (Mabel) Ruth, youngest daughter of John R. and Martha A. Travis, was born on October 31, 1894, near Peru, Iowa, and departed this life on March 23, 1935, at the home of her brother Fred Travis also near Peru at the age of 40 years, 4 months and 22 days.

Since the death of her parents she has made her home with her brothers and sister. She leaves to mourn her loss: one sister, Mrs. John Priest; two brothers, Derwin and Fred, all of Peru; six nephews and six nieces and many other relatives and friends.

Mabel Travis died very suddenly Saturday morning at the home of her brother, Fred Travis, following a few days illness from measles.

She is survived by one sister, Mrs. John Priest, and two brothers Fred and Derwin. Her father and mother and one brother preceded her.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the John Priest home, conducted by Rev. Patterson and burial was in the Peru cemetery.
