The death of John Wesley Fulton, life-long resident of the Truro community occurred August 16. He was 58 years old.
Mr. Fulton was born on a farm two miles east of Truro on July 18, 1877. He was the son of John W. and Nancy Ann Fulton. He received his education in the schools of Truro, and remained upon the homestead with his parents, until his marriage in 1900 to Miss Nellie E. Leggett. With his bride he moved to a farm one mile south of Truro, staying there a year before returning to the old homestead, where he spent the greater part of his life.
As a young man Mr. Fulton united with the Christian church, and spent his life as an active member in its support and administration. He exerted an important influence on the affairs of the church and community.
Three daughters were born to Mr. and Mrs. Fulton. They are Mrs. Arthur Perry of Davenport, Mrs. Leslie Garmon of Truro, and Mrs. E. N. Fenimore of Peru. The widow and the three daughters survive Mr. Fulton, together with four grandchildren and other relatives.
Funeral services were held from the Kale funeral home in Truro, August 18. Burial was made in the Hartman cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank Farson, Ben Bradshaw, George Bradshaw, Pearl DeLong, Charles Robinson, and Boyd Murphy.

Truro NewsJ. W. Fulton, who had been in poor health for some time, died at his home here Friday night. He was a life time resident of Madison county, having been born and raised near Truro. He is survived by his wife and three daughters, Mrs. Grace Perry of Davenport, Mrs. Ruth Garmon of Truro and Mrs. Mary Fennimore of Peru. Funeral services were held at the W. D. Kale funeral home Sunday afternoon at 2:30, conducted by Rev. O. V. Rector, assisted by Rev. Moore. Interment was made in the Hartman cemetery.
