A protacted illness of 10 years standing ended August 7, 1935, in the death of Catherine Margerite Wright, daughter of Harvey Wright, of near Winterset. She was 23 years old.
The deceased was the daughter of Harvey and Stella Wright, and was born in Winterset, July 9, 1912. Her mother died in 1918. She attended the public schools here and was graduated from the Winterset high school with the class of 1933.
About 10 years ago Miss Wright united with the United Presbyterian church, and was a member of the young people's bible class. She was guardian of a group of Camp Fire girls.
The girl is survived by her father and foster-mother, a brother, Harrell, and a sister, Carolyn, and her grandparents.
Funeral services were held from the United Presbyterian church on August 9, under the direction of the Rev. Walter J. Stewart of Grinnell, a former pastor here. Burial was made in the Winterset cemetery.
