L. D. WEEKS DIED HERE ON MONDAY

Retired Farmer, Life-Long Resident of Madison County

L. D. Weeks, a retired farmer and a life-long resident of the county died Monday June 6, at Memorial hospital. He was 80 years of age.

Mr. Weeks was born in Lincoln township on Aug 20, 1880, a son of J. F. and Lyda Weeks. He was married in 1908 to Lovilia Cain. Her death occurred last year.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Lola Mitchell of Corydon, two sons, Gerald weeks of Winterset and Russell Weeks of Lorimor, five grandchildren and a great grandchild. He also leaves four sisters, Nola Reynolds and Leta Cunningham of Friend, Nebr. Garnett Spacman and Bula Herman of Fullerton, Nebraska.

Funeral services were to be held this Wednesday afternoon from the Richards Funeral home, conducted by the Rev. Arthur Weed and the Rev. Earl Kelly. Burial was to made in the Winterset cemetery.
