Mrs. Mary Allen Little of the Elm Grove neighborhood, died on Jan 24, aged 75 years. Mrs. Little was well known in Warren and Madison counties, where her life was spent. Rev. Shannon had charge of the funeral services on Friday at the Elm Grove church, followed by burial in the King cemetery.

Mary J. Allen was born in Warren county, Iowa, Dec. 7, 1847 and departed this life Jan. 24, 1923 at the age of 75 years, 1 month and 17 days. She was untied in marriage to John H. Little, April 19, 1866. To this union were born eight children, three dying in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death, Sept. 25, 1913.
She had been a member of Elm Grove church for years. She was highly respected and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. There are left to mourn her loss, on son and four daughters, one brother, 18 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted Friday by Rev. Shannon from the Elm Grove church. Burial in the King cemetery.

Mrs. Mary Little, aged 75 years, died Wednesday morning, after an illness of ten weeks. Mrs. Little is survived by four daughters and one son: Mrs. Mary Crosbie of St. Charles, Mrs. Flora Weed of Hebron, Mrs. Minnie Marshall of Ord and Mrs. Rosa Benedict, with whom she made her home; and Tommy Little of Winterset. Funeral services were held Friday at the church and burial in the King cemetery.
